How do I have my doctor send in prescriptions to Depot Drug?

  • Electronic prescription via eScribe (This is the quickest way for the pharmacy to get your prescriptions to you!)
  • Please provide your Prescriber with Depot Drug’s eScribe #4602745 (SLC, UT) or Fax 1 (801) 595-4440

How do I order a refill of my prescription?

  • Member portal: my.depotdrug.com
  • Phone: 1(800)331-6353 / Your date-of-birth format is MMYY (Example: May 22, 1977 would be input as 0577)

How early can I refill my prescription?

  • 90 day supply= 3 weeks before your last dose
  • 30 day supply= 8 days before your last dose

How long does it take to receive my prescription order?

  • Please allow 7-10 days for delivery. We recommend that you order at least 2 weeks before your last dose.
  • Expedited shipping is available for additional cost.

Do I have to use Depot Drug?

  • Yes! After your first initial fill for 30 days at a retail pharmacy, all active employees with IRHC are required to fill maintenance medications with Depot Drug Pharmacy.
  • There are some exceptions including CII narcotics and Opioids.
  • NOTE: Medicare members are not required to use Depot Drug. However, you will receive the best value with the lowest copays on medications utilizing Depot Drug, your plan’s Preferred Pharmacy.

What is the difference between Depot Drug Pharmacy and Optum RX

  • OptumRx is Iron Road Healthcare’s Pharmacy Benefits Manager (required by Medicare). Pharmacy benefit managers, or PBMs, are companies that manage prescription drug benefits on behalf of health insurers and Medicare Part D drug plans. This includes Pharmacy claims outside of Depot Drug Pharmacy, Prior Authorizations, and outreach communication on education for Diabetes and Medication Management. OptumRX has their own Mail Order Pharmacy.
  • However, they are NOT YOUR PREFERRED MAIL ORDER PHARMACY.
  • Depot Drug IS YOUR PREFFERED PHARMACY and best value for prescription cost.
