The health and wellness of our members is our top priority.

Here is what we’re doing to support you.

COVID 19 Test:

  • If a doctor believes you need to be tested for COVID-19, there is no pre-authorization required for treatments.
  • There has been no change to current copays or deductibles in our plans.  Please refer to your Member ID card for your copay’s.
  • COVID 19 tests are usually available at Urgent Care Centers, Hospitals, some pharmacies.
  • COVID 19 testing for travel is not covered.
  • Iron Road Healthcare will cover, without cost share, antibody tests that are ordered by a physician or authorized health care professional and are medically necessary. IRHC does not cover antibody tests that are for purposes of: return to work or school or for general health surveillance or self-surveillance or self-diagnosis, except as required by applicable law.
  • Keep your medication needs current.  As a reminder, our members are eligible for a 90-day supply of refills for maintenance prescriptions through Depot Drug—that is still the case now.

Telemedicine via Doctor On Demand

As a reminder, all non-Medicare members are eligible for telemedicine through Doctor On Demand.  For just a $10 copay, you can see a doctor on your smartphone, tablet or computer without leaving your home.  To enroll, visit www.doctorondemand.com.

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) has implemented temporary policies for telemedicine for Medicare members.  To learn more, visit www.cms.gov.

Vaccines

You’ve likely heard the good news that COVID-19 vaccines manufactured by Pfizer and Moderna have been approved by the FDA. There will initially be a limited supply of the vaccine. Medicare covers the COVID-19 vaccine, so there will be no cost to you when it becomes available. Iron Road Healthcare will cover the cost of the vaccine at 100% up to the usual and customary amounts for Non Medicare members.

Pharmaceutical manufacturers are now working to distribute the vaccine to federally- and state-approved locations to start the vaccination of priority groups. State governments will handle the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines. Look for updates from your state or governor as more doses of the vaccine become available for additional priority groups.
